So we all know that recently the Apple was to launch the iPhone 5 and we all sat with baited breathe to see what it would bring. Many people thought that domain registration for new URL’s in the hope that they could have the perfect one. www.buyiphione5.com etc popped up all over, web hosting for different addresses featuring the iPhone5 name.
Now we all know what happened, on the scheduled day out came the iPhone 4s and those people that had been thinking that they were ahead of the game were left to either wait for who knows how long or just kick up dust in frustration.
So it’s the iPhone 4S and everyone said that it was just a tweeked version of the previous version. But is that really true, because I mean if you look closely there are over 200 improvements including that of SIRI which is a masterpiece on its own. So what I am asking here is that is the iPhone 4S actually an iPhone 5 and surely Apple will have to get the naming of the next iPhone right ie the iPhone 6. The iPhone 4s adds a lot and its orders have gone through the roof, so in fact will those people who registered all those domain names in fact loose out completely. Almost a sort of sick joke from Apple as they say “Don’t try and get ahead of the game we will catch you out”.
The reason I also think that Apple should sort out their naming process right, is that their names have always been so clean. iPhone, iPad, iPhone 4, iPad 2, always clean compared to competitors that have numbered confusing names the 2313 Nokia etc, you know what I mean. Now with a 4S it is playing with a slippery slope on a Brand that I have always loved for its clean shic feel. Time will only tell but I have a feeling things will come to pass as I have said above.
